IUPAT Job Corps Student Does America Proud
Indiahoma, OK -- Tabitha Lee Cobb is a graduate of the IUPAT Job Corps Program at the Treasure Lake Center in Indiahoma, Oklahoma. Cobb, a Native American of the Choctaw tribe, grew up in Battiest, Oklahoma, where she learned the benefits of hard work from her parents, who were dedicated to family values. Eager for new opportunities, Cobb enrolled in the IUPAT Job Corps Program to learn the paint trade and further develop her social and life skills.

During her tenure at the Treasure Lake Center, Cobb was awarded Student of the Month and Bay Leader, and can boast an impressive first place finish in a "Tough Man" contest. Center representatives report that, while a student, Cobb developed into a leader and role model who won the respect and admiration of her peers and staff. Cobb went on to earn her certificate of completion in 2003.

After completing the IUPAT training, Cobb enlisted in the U.S. Army. She easily completed her basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, and then went on to graduate from Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland. With skills acquired from Job Corps and extensive military training, Cobb now represents the U.S. as a soldier serving in Germany.

Paint instructor Patrick Bell reports that Cobb was an outstanding student and an exceptional young leader who always gave 100 percent to everything she did. He adds that the military is blessed to have a person like Cobb who is willing to work so hard to achieve her goals.

The IUPAT is proud of Cobb and wishes her continued success in her life and career.
