Sign and Display-Tradeshow Workers participate in a wide and challenging variety of exciting jobs and projects.
They build and install all the signage and display apparatus for trade shows, conventions and special events from "floor to ceiling."
As a Sign and Display-Tradeshow Worker, you will be part of a service trade in a healthy industry that puts on meetings and events around the world.
Benefits of Being an IUPAT Sign and Display-Tradeshow Worker
Painters and Allied Trades members and their families are eligible to participate in our affiliate health insurance plans.
The Painters and Allied Trades Industry Pension Fund provides you with a secure retirement plan. Members qualify for full retirement benefits at age 55 with 30 years of credited service.
Representation on the Job
Your union will make certain your rights are protected on the job. That means you’ll get paid what you’re supposed to get paid, on time. It also means you’ll have the right training and equipment to get the job done safely.
All members of the IUPAT are eligible to pursue advanced career training and even college credits in our program. The Finishing Trades Institute offers continuing education programs for its members that allow them to earn college credits toward an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree.
Earn While You Learn
As an IUPAT Sign & Display-Tradeshow Worker apprentice, you will work in the classroom and in the training lab...but you will also be using your new skills on-the-job ... earning a wage at the same time.
What’s more, as you progress in the apprenticeship program, you will also earn raises in pay.
Training and Education
The Finishing Trades Institute is the training and education department for the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades. The FTI oversees the Sign & Display/Tradeshow Working apprenticeship training program.
The FTI will not only give you the skills to do your job, it will make sure you do your job safely. The IUPAT requires all of its new members to undergo extensive safety training to make certain our job sites are the safest in the industry.
