Post-Dispatch: Building trades here make $37 million bet on a brighter future

Five years after the Great Recession began, the construction industry is still trying to dig out of a deep hole.

Rather than throw a pity party, the local trades are looking ahead to a time when — they hope — the industry will again be thriving. They can’t do anything about the demand for workers right now, but they can improve the supply.
