The Building and Construction Trades Department has just finished production of a 2012 Presidential Campaign video that contrasts the records and positions of Mitt Romney and President Barack Obama – especially those issues that are central to the lives of our members.
This video has now been uploaded to our YouTube page. Please take the time to check it out today, and feel free to download it for posting onto your council or local union website.
In addition, we are producing DVDs of this video in mass quantities, and within the next week we will begin to ship 15 DVDs to each state and local building trades council in the United States.
I am urging all councils to take advantage of this video and to play it at your respective council meetings, as well as making the DVDs available to show at local union meetings in your area.
As you know, the demographic of our rank and file members will be a key voting bloc in this election. And just like in 2008, the more we educate and inform our members as to the specific positions held by the candidates on critical issues like Project Labor Agreements, Prevailing Wage Laws, and Infrastructure Investments, the more likely we are to generate enough support among our members to ensure that President Obama wins re-election on November 6th.
Thank you for all that you do.
With kind regards, I am,
Sincerely and fraternally,
