On April 25, 2017, District Council 16 held its 5th Annual Legislative Reception in the historic Eureka Room at the State Capitol. Several Legislators took time out of their busy schedules to stop by the event and enjoy some food and the opportunity to chat with DC 16 members, as well as experience the new virtual boom lift that is used as a training tool for our apprentices. Senator Toni Atkins (D-CA) and her Chief of Staff Nick Hardeman attended the event, and thanked DC 16 for letting them experience some of their apprenticeship training tools. Other legislators in attendance included Assemblyman Raul Bocanegra (D-CA), Senator Scott Wiener (D-CA) and Senator Bob Wieckowski (D-CA).
