On April 19, 2017, members of District Council 5 participated in the annual Alaska Construction Career Day at the state fairgrounds. Over 900 students from all over the state attended the event to learn about career opportunities in the construction industry. DC 5 Apprenticeship Coordinator Tim Lindsey and Apprentice Instructor Frank Monosso spoke with students about the IUPAT apprenticeship programs and gave students the chance to use the virtual painter.
