Big Brothers, Big Sisters, Big Paint Job

In Alaska, the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America is a big deal to a lot of kids. This year, members of Local Union 1959 repainted the office of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America in Anchorage and Fairbanks, Alaska. Business Representative Bronson Frye, a Big Brother himself, coordinated the effort because he knows how vital the organization is to children.

Working together to paint the Anchorage office — and helping change the colors of the front office as part of a rebranding process — were Frye, Local 1959 President Mike McGuire, members Esteban Patino and Alejandro Pardes, Local 1959 Executive Board Member Germaine Brown, DC5 Director of Servicing Chris Bryant, Anchorage Assemblyman Forrest Dunbar, and Chase Mallory (Bronson’s little brother in the BBBS program). Charlie Young spearheaded the Fairbanks office paint project with the help of apprentice Joe Kriska.
