Fifty-seven members of Local Union 1399, Local Union 831, Job Corps pre-apprentices, and family members came out to show their support for clean water. Attendees worked with the Surfrider Foundation on a beach clean and protest march for clean water. There has been a long history of problems with raw Tijuana sewage dumped directly into the Pacific Ocean. The Surfrider Foundation is committed to preserving the oceans and preventing water pollution, and DC 36 members were happy to aid this community partner and the environment for a day of service.
