District Council 15 – Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Nevada, Wyoming
In June 2015, Colorado District Council 15 members participated in the launch for the Constructing Justice Campaign. The purpose of the campaign is to expose the lowering standards within the Denver painting industry due to developers ignoring deplorable working conditions on their job sites, and awarding these jobs to irresponsible contractors.
Other attendees of the campaign included members of the Denver area Building Trades, as well as students from the University of Colorado. Campaign participants demanded that all Denver metro area developers in the public and private sectors adopt responsible business practices and protect the rights of workers to a safe job environment, efficient safety training and equipment, with fair wages with benefits.
