DC 35 Participates in Counter-Protest Against Racist Organizations

On August 19, 2017, over 30,000 people turned out for a counter-protest march against white supremacy and neo-Nazism at the Boston Free Speech rally at the Boston Common. The Greater Boston A. Philip Randolph Institute (APRI), with its members representing the International Union of Painters and Allied District Council 35, New England Regional Council of Carpenters, International Brotherhood of Electricians 103, Boston Teachers Union, Brazilian Worker Center, NAACP, and many other great organizations, stood in solidarity for racial justice.

Members of District Council 35 stood in solidarity with the Greater Boston APRI in a counter demonstration against white supremacy and neo-Nazism at the Boston Free Speech rally at the Boston Common.

Greater Boston APRI reflects a revived community partnership that is fighting for working families. DC 35’s members were proud to march side-by-side in unity with their diverse union sisters and brothers.
