The members of Local 1293 participated in the longest-running Labor Day celebration in the United States, the Shoals Area Labor Day celebration. Members worked really hard putting together two entries in the parade to celebrate and recognize the working people of the US. Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen, including Walter Wilson, who initiated and coordinated most of the tasks surrounding this event and cooked for attendees.
District Council 77 plans to keep this tradition going and continue to encourage young people to participate in order to pass the torch to the next generation.
