On July 29, 2017, District Council 16 honored its graduating Apprentices at Scott’s Seafood in Jack London Square, Oakland, California. Each has succeeded with hard work, perseverance and the willingness to learn.
FTI Apprenticeship and Training Representative Ken Seal, and DC 16 Director of Training Alex Beltran were in attendance to honor the graduating apprentices, and to present the Apprentices of the Year with their awards. Apprentices of the Year are Mark Tavares Local Union 507 (San Jose), John Nguyen of Local Union 12 (San Mateo), Armando Ceja of Local Union 1621 (San Jose), Sylvester Williams of Local Union 741 (Martinez) and Tanner Carroll of Local Union 741.
