District Council 21 – Local Union 252 Repairs Damage to Philadelphia Synagogue

The Temple Menorah-Keneseth Chai synagogue, which was vandalized in the northeast neighborhood of Philadelphia back in January, was restored to its former glory this spring by the glaziers of Local Union 252. Vandals had thrown rocks through many the synagogue’s windows, causing significant damage. As a good gesture to the synagogue and their community, five glaziers from Local 252 donated their time, energy, and materials to repairing and replacing the damaged windows. Having no previous connection with the synagogue, the glaziers of Local 252 saw this as an opportunity to build a new relationship within their community.
