In February 2015, District Council 3 held its first Kansas City Coatings and Corrosion Expo. Prior to the expo, DC 3 launched www.stopmidwestcorrosion.com, a website designed to promote the event, coatings application specialist training, and corrosion awareness.
With over 80 professionals invited to the expo, it was a great success. Many of the attendees were able to see CAS testing in progress, and were all impressed with the certification and training processes. The expo was a great networking and learning experience for DC 3, and they plan to expand on it next year.
