On August 12, 2017, District Council 711 hosted its 8th Annual Good of the Union fishing trip. Captain Mike and his crew welcomed DC 711 members and their guests aboard the Sea Hawk, a sailing vessel ported in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey. Members were able to enjoy a day of fishing, fun and camaraderie.
In addition to a day of fun at sea, members also donated dry goods and gift cards to local grocery stores to Pastor Thomas Wong of Point Community Church. DC 711’s members were able to raise hundreds of dollars in donations, which will go directly to helping people in need in the Brunswick area.
