On September 10, 2017, members of District Council 9 participated in the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Walk in New York City’s Central Park to raise money that funds local and national research programs to help find a cure for breast cancer. This was DC 9’s first time participating in the walk. Together, they helped raised $1,750 for the cause!
The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades thanks all of the DC 9 members who participated in this event. Your commitment to raising money for the cure is a remarkable act of kindness for women and men diagnosed with breast cancer. Because of your efforts, the Susan G. Komen Foundation is one step closer to finding a cure for this disease.
