In April, industrial painting contractor N.A. Logan hired some painters from District Council 91 to help complete a lighthouse renovation job. The lighthouse was removed by a barge crane and brought to the shores of Lake Michigan for stripping and painting. The total expenses for this project was about half a million dollars.
Those who worked on the project included Project Manager Michael Wirtes from US Steel Corporation Gary Works; N.A. Logan President Anthony Logan; N.A. Logal Vice President Daniel Logan; N.A. Logan Superintendent Michael Cowen; IUPAT journey workers Charlie Beach, Bob Biggers, David Flamme and Barry Ruark; and IUPAT apprentices Noah Delreal, Alyssa Potts and Kyle Snuffer.
