Our city needs strong leadership to reduce crime and build an economy that will bring us into the future. That’s what I will be focused on as Mayor.” The IUPAT local’s endorsement comes at a critical time for the Dixon campaign as they continue to add momentum and grassroots support by the day. Dixon’s strength in the community is bolstered by the serious plans she has proposed for moving the city forward. She has been lauded for producing one of the most detailed, comprehensive economic plans in the mayoral race, which IUPAT DC 51 credited as a strong reason why they backed Dixon. “When we were making the decision on who to support in this mayoral election, we were looking for someone who could lead this city and take it to the next level and create real jobs, with real benefits, that can translate into careers for her constituents, which is a mutual concern of ours. That’s Sheila Dixon,” said Lynn Taylor II, the Business Manager/Secretary- Treasurer of IUPAT DC 51. “We know her as someone who get things done and who truly brings in input from the people. We believe she is the best leader for Baltimore in this election, and enthusiastically give her our support.” |
