On April 1, 2015 District Council 53 hosted the 3rd Annual Coating and Corrosion Expo in Weston, West Virginia. The expo was a great opportunity for paint manufacturers and contractors to showcase their latest products to combat corrosion, as well as answer questions from expo attendees. Participating vendors included Sherwin Williams, The Society of Protective Coatings (SSPC), Blast-One, Carboline, Sprayroq, and many more.
Throughout the duration of the expo, exhibitors and vendors gave hands-on demonstrations of their products. In addition, two free continuing education classes were offered during the expo. “Introduction to Surface Preparation for Metals” and “Underground Corrosion Controls Utilizing Coatings and Cathodic Protection” were informative and well received by attendees. In summary, the 2015 Coating and Corrosion Expo was a successful event that was beneficial to all in attendance.
