First the Honors…
Brother Sal Savarese of District Council 9/Local Union 490 was recently awarded 40 pin for his dedication to the IUPAT. He joined the union in 1976 as an apprentice wallpaper hanger.

Over the course of the next 30 years of his career, he not only sharpened his skills in his craft and rose through the ranks to become a foreman on his jobs, he got involved in his local. He served in many leadership positions including vice president, trustee, executive board member and financial secretary, the position he continues to serve in today.
In 2006, Sal’s dedication to the members of District Council 9 earned him the position of an organizer for the council. He served until 2015. Today, he is a part time instructor for wallpaper hanger apprentices.
Congratulations on 40 years of heart and service to this union!
The Solidarity —
The District Council 9 Women’s Committee recently met and took a moment to get a picture. Looks like they’re ready to get the job done for DC 9 and the IUPAT!
