Are you having trouble paying your medical bills? Union Plus offers a great benefit to union members who may be a little behind on payments. Through the Union Plus Medical Bill Negotiating Service by Health Advocate, members are provided with free assistance negotiating bill reductions with physicians, hospitals and other medical providers. The service also helps with lowering costs and establishing payment plans for members who qualify for assistance.
To utilize this service, you must be an active union member or union retiree. You must also have at least one outstanding unreimbursed medical expense of $400 or more from a single medical provider. There is no limit on the number of medical providers with which the service will negotiate.
