The DC 1M softball team participated in the Michigan Building Trades’ annual Dollars Against Diabetes (D.A.D.S) Softball Tournament at Gier Park to raise funds for diabetes research. Members of building trades unions across the country trade in their work gear for baseball caps annually to support this worthy cause. Organized by the Building and Construction Trades Department, AFL-CIO, this campaign has raised more than $40 million dollars for the Diabetes Research Institute to date.
