District Council 5 partnered with Rebuilding Together to paint and spruce up the grounds of a low-income housing community. The members and staff painted two Beaverton, Oregon, homes and cleaned up the grounds in six hours.
They had so much time left over that Mike James, Roman Ramos, Victor Anguiano and Todd Springer went to the home of a member of the International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Local 1, who is paralyzed, and installed a much-needed door.
Local 10 Business Representative Scott Oldham worked with the Rebuild Together group to coordinate the event.
