District Council 82 – Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin
On September 12, 2015, DC 82 held its annual Safety Training Awards Recognition (STAR) Banquet at the National Sports Center in Blaine, Minnesota to reward those members who successfully participated in the program. The STAR program was launched ten years ago to build and encourage “a culture of safety” on the job site. Members become eligible to receive awards under STAR by attending advanced safety training classes and maintaining a strong safety record on the job. Local 386 painter Michael Smith won a portable ice fish house with many other members receiving rewards, as well.
