The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades Canada and Build Together: Workforce Development are proud to have created a new series of courses designed to train our members how to establish and maintain better relationships with the Indigenous Peoples of Canada.
“Virtual Indigenous Training” focuses on finding meaningful ways to improve understanding and relationships with Indigenous Peoples within our organization. The course consists of four learning modules, each one providing a base line understanding of the history of Indigenous Peoples in Canada, context on current developments within the construction industry and essential career development tools designed to foster relations between the construction industry and Indigenous Communities. The information provided within the four modules of the Virtual Indigenous Training course will give our members the tools they need to effectively strengthen relationships and solidarity with the Indigenous Peoples of Canada.
