DC 21’s Recruitment Coordinator Tureka Dixon released the following statement:
“Joining the IUPAT changed my life. It’s not just a job, it’s a career, and you’re able to take care of your family. People think you have to know someone to join our union, but it’s not true. Our apprenticeships are for everyone, and that’s why we partner with the Philadelphia School District – we want to provide opportunities for all young people, especially girls and people of color.”
