Gregg Smith

General Secretary-Treasurer

Gregg Smith is a fourth-generation painter who has been with the IUPAT since August 1991. His first leadership position came in 1997 as a Business Agent for District Council 58/Local Union 32 in West Frankfort, Illinois. Later that year, he ascended to Business Manager/Secretary-Treasurer of District Council 58. During his 23-year tenure as BM/ST, Mr. Smith sat on numerous trust and labor-management funds. Before joining the International, Smith was the longest-serving BM/ST in the IUPAT. 

In September 2020, Smith was appointed as General Vice President at Large. On October 1, 2021, he became General Secretary-Treasurer of the IUPAT.
